What is Water Aerobics?

A type of aerobic exercise that involves performing cardio, strength, and interval training in waste- to- chest- deep water, such as a swimming pool, with a trained instructor and music. Some exercises that might be included in a water aerobics class include: Water walking, Bicep curls, Leg lifts, Kickboard moves, Lunges, Side leg lifts, Underwater bicep curls 

Water aerobics has many benefits, including: 
-Low impact: Water aerobics is a low-impact workout that’s good for people with joint problems, chronic pain, or who are recovering from injury. 
-Full body workout: Water aerobics works many different muscle groups. 
-Cardiovascular benefits: The resistance of the water makes water aerobics more intense than performing the same exercises out of the water. 
-Strength training: Water aerobics provides strength training benefits.
